Nightclub & Bar Review
Ministry of Sound has long been regarded as one of the best clubs in the world. With a stellar soundsystem, an endless stream of top DJs and a giant warehouse layout, this is a club tailor-made for epic nights. It’s also more of a standout than ever, given London’s current nightlife climate where more than a few of the real legends of the scene have passed on (The End, Cargo, The Cross - the list goes on...).
From the outside Ministry of Sound doesn’t look like a world-famous super-club. But if you know what you’re looking for (and on the big nights a huge crowd of people milling out the front is a good hint), then make your way inside to a club of epic proportions and an interior filled with 3 dancefloors and bars, elongated balconies and VIP areas, as well as a soundsystem that just might be the best on the planet (no joke - it’s said that if it was played at 100% it would be the loudest man-made sound!).
The action here happens in The Box - the main dancefloor section that has hosted the best of the best in its 20 year history and looks to be going as strong as ever. Mini-club The Baby Box also gets packed, has a good vibe and is outfitted with a good system itself. You’ll find a really mixed crowd that varies wildly depending on the nights, and with everything from Minimal House, through to total Commercial, as well as Dubstep and Electro, Ministry of Sound is the mecca of the London club scene.
