Nightclub & Bar Review
Plan B is a club on a mission - to put the Brixton nightlife scene back on the map with a relaunched South London venue, a top-notch range of music promoters and a world-class Funktion One soundsystem.
Recently voted into DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs in the world, the interior is low-key and minimal in the best way - it evokes that classic warehouse party vibe, with a large main room and bar, exposed brick walls, a bunch of cool black lounges and a really vibrant lighting system. The outdoor smoker’s area provides some space for a bit of (sort of) fresh air as it can get pretty hot on the main dancefloor. There’s also a smaller room downstairs (known as B-Low) if you feel like a change of atmosphere, and it’s pretty self-contained with its own bar.
Plan B is back-to-basics without being underdone, and the focus is on world-class music and an upbeat vibe. A surprise here is the drinks menu - there’s a proper range of quality cocktails, which is rare for this kind of club, and adds a touch of class to the whole affair.
Plan B brings in a cool, mixed crowd, with the type of punter varying depending on who’s playing / the genre of the night, but you can guarantee that the vibe will be good because people aren’t into the VIP scene - they just come here to listen to music they love in one of the best clubs in London.
