Cielo is a legendary New York nightclub that’s dedicated to bringing in cutting-edge dance music, a cool vibe and a great crowd. Set in the middle of the always-trendy Meatpacking district, Cielo has been voted amongst the best clubs in the world since it opened (it’s currently ranked #37 in DJ Mags Top 100 Clubs in the World for 2011) and it’s easy to see why.

Cielo boasts an super-stylish retro-futuristic interior design, consistently brings in world-class DJs, and smashes out the latest club tracks from a soundsystem created by the unbeatable team at Funktion One. The sound is loud yet super-crisp - enhanced by the size of the club (which is petite to say the least) and well laid-out - the bar and lounges surround a sunken dancefloor where the crowd congregates the later it gets, making runs back and forth between the bar, the DJ and an open-air smoke room out the back. The drinks are pricey, so make sure you bring some extra cash, and be prepared for a line at the gents...

Centred around the intimate dancefloor, Cielo brings in some serious clubbers and music-lovers, and they keep a tight door-policy to make sure that the atmosphere is always high-energy yet cool and unpretentious, which is great for keeping out fly-by-night scenesters and bad attitudes. The cover-charge is equal to the quality, and for this kind of vibe, soundsystem and crowd it’s well worth it.
